An initial appointment can last from 60 to 90 minutes. During this session, the practitioner will spend time getting to know you. You are encouraged to express any concerns, ask questions, outline your goals, and provide details that you wish to share regarding yourself and your health, in a safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment. You may be asked a wide range of questions related to your health, lifestyle habits, exercise, diet, mental/emotional states, relationships, work, and spirituality .
We begin with whatever challenges are most important to you, and systematically work our way through how these manifest as behaviours or patterns in your life. We will try to address root causes, and underlying physical/emotional patterns. As a holistic practitioner, my focus is on educating you and employing some tools and techniques to help you evolve and allow self-awareness to occur at a physical, mental/emotional and spiritual level. Such techniques may involve Breath work, Meditation for relaxation, Journaling/Art work, Acupressure, Aromatherapy. In addition, Herbal remedies in the form of teas, tinctures, salves, supplements, lotions/oils etc.maybe prescribed based on individual need and health concerns.
Follow-up appointments usually last from 30 to 60 minutes, and are booked based on the need and concerns of each individual. At these visits, we review your health history and recommendations that were made on previous visits. Subsequent visits allow the practitioner to evaluate and note your health progress, renew or suggest new herbal remedies, supplements and therapies and discuss any other questions or concerns you may have. It is important to note that the follow-up sessions work over a period of time (between 3 to 12 months), as each visit builds upon the previous one.
